I would like to introduce a pre-quel to the Clearview Mystery series, The Idol, which should be published later this year. Jean chooses to spend the last days of her divorce becoming final in exotic Lake Titicaca, Peru. Determined to move on with her life while quenching her thirst for traveling she follows psychic shamanic guide Ramon as they explore mysterious archeological sites. She acquires her own mystical prophecy which will take her life in an entirely new direction. Jean will give birth to an exceptional child and eleven years into their future they will join the isolated mountain community of Lake Clearview providing assistance as it undergoes significant geological and spiritual transformation.

Those who go to Botswana on safari owe a debt of gratitude to the guides who drive them to see the animals, educate them in the various species’ behaviors, interpret the actions, teach basic tracking skills, maneuver their vehicles for the best camera angles, and keep them safe while they are doing it. Over the years, I’ve had many gifted guides who introduced me to the wonders of the Okavango Delta and the Kalahari Desert. All have given me amazing experiences, but none more than Steve Matija. This book is my song of praise and gratitude to him.
